For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Feeling Very Blessed Today. Our 4th Grandson was born last night & our D-in-L's father has had 2 better days which, should leave him to a discharge from the hospital to go visit our his grandson.

Sounds like you have your hands full right now JerseySusan! Life has a way of working out. You take the good with the bad and hopefully your DIL will enjoy the time she has left with her father. It's a sad situation. I had my daughter later in life and she has never met any of her grandparents since all of them passed away before she was born. We have wonderful elderly neighbors that stand in as her grandparents at school when there is a function that celebrates the grandparents. Deployment is just around the corner for us. Again. Prayers for all of our deployed men and women!

Good Morning To All, It's been a busy summer for us. Our daughter & her family (3 kids), moved down to Ga where we live right now & we are awaiting our "4th" grandson soon to arrive any day now with our oldest son, (his "1st")! Unfortunately, soon after they found out they were having a child, my D-in-L's father found out he has cancer. A rare leukemia that is very hard to treat. This will be their "1st" grandchild, but her father is not doing well at all, so this very joyous occasion is also a very sad time for them & just praying the baby comes soon so her father can see him & be with him.
We are very blessed right now, as we don't have to go through any deployments until the spring. Please know, I am thinking & praying for all your loved ones who are deployed during this unsettling time in the world.

I had two boys before I had my daughter when my oldest was 16! There are times when I wish she had been a boy but then I remember how crazy they can be! haha

Thinking of all the crazy crap going on around this world...know we have some in Afghanistan and some on MEU s that we have no idea where they are or where they are headed.
