For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

****Red Cross and Help for the Military, Emergency Notificaton Link to the Red Cross Military Assistance page, on the left is a list of links to important sites, including the phone numbers if you need to notify your deployed loved one of a family emergency. This note: Beginning June 13, 2011, at 8:00 a.m. EDT, all military members and their
families can use one number- 877-272-7337 (U.S. Toll Free) to send an urgent
message to a service member. The change means that all military members and
their families can use this single number to initiate an emergency communication, regardless of where they live.

Coaching Into Care

Coaching Into Care works with family members or friends who become aware of their Veteran’s post-deployment difficulties—and supports their efforts to find help for the Veteran.

This is a national clinical service providing information and help to Veterans and the loved ones who are concerned about them.
Defense Center of Excellence information and help for TBI and PTS for active military, vets and their families.

After Deployment... This web site is VERY useful to service members, family and loved ones after the return of a loved one from deployment.

Military Pathways Facebook

To help those who may be struggling, the DoD teamed up with the nonprofit organization Screening for Mental Health to launch Military Pathways (TM), also known as the Mental Health Self-Assessment Program (MHSAP). The program is available online and at special events held at installations worldwide. Check us out at militarymentalhealth.com. It provides free, anonymous mental health and alcohol self-assessments for family members and service personnel in all branches including the National Guard and Reserve.

LOL About the princess LOL I belong to a wonderful group on N4Ms corpsman moms and dads and one of the ladies gave me that name "Princess" because my very first phone was the princess phone.. You had to have been there LOL... So now everyone in that group calls me Cali Princess...

I have three children and all are military.. My oldest is out of the Navy now but is married to a Navy officer.. My son is a corpsman and my youngest is in the Army just graduated out of BC and is going through her Medic training... I love this group.. everyone here totally understands every emotion you go through...

The place is huge and actually they have many job opportunities which I am sure can open up after volunteering for a time. It takes a lot of time and documentation to get hired on by the Federal Govt. Even after all is said and done you are put in a pool and wait until they need another screener that is why I took steps to start volunteering at VA. I love it when Ryan is tucked safe in his Convex. I now know that I shoul not discuss places and times etc but how is your son? How are things going for him? I looked at your pics. Is that your Grandson? The pics were really nice. I loved the pics of Princess. You are very young looking! I had Ryan late in life at 37. That is why he is my baby!! I had 3 sons. 2 are living . I believe that is why I went into panic mode. My middle son died Dec 3,2005. Accidental death. I talked Ry into going into the Navy cause I knew he would not have to be in harms way in Afghanistan or Iraq! Well I got that one wrong!

I am in the process now of trying to get hired by TSA ( Homeland Security) this has been a grueling experience. I have taken and passed tests, credit check. background check, Airport Assessment interview. Now I am on medical hold and have to have my doctor sign off on me even though oh I forgot I had to go for a physical by their physician. You really just want to give up, but I am determined to get this job. You have to have top security clearance and I can tell you they strip you down worse than when you apply for a mortgage. Pages and pages of life history. They continue kicking it back till all i's and t's are dotted and crossed. This is for an Airport screener position.
