For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

A call out for prayers for the family of Tenn Navy Mom, her mother is in her final phase of this life in hospice. Her corpsman's deployment has been extended and he cannot return home. Remind this mom she is not alone, and that we all have her back at this terrible time in her life.

There is ice at the bottom of his homemade AC unit along with the hole he used to vent the side!! I always said, of my two son's, he is the one I will not have to worry about. That all ended the day he called me and said he was joining the service.

A Corpsman's brain never shuts down. Mine decided to make his own air conditioning when the central air went down.... I know today is a hard one for a lot of people but I thought I'd share this photo to hopefully make ya'll chuckle a little bit as I did this morning.

Thanks Everyone...Yes Tamme, they will be in Charleston for a few years. Texas Doc...I "wish" I could post a pic, but I am forbidden to by my D-in-L on any social media :( and believe me, she does have her ways of finding out. She knows "exactly" what sites I use & to keep the peace with our son, we follow her rules! Nicksmom...I am so "happy" for you & yes, you made sense!!

Boy, do I love baby photos (Hint, hint)...congrats Grandma!!
Ladies, I do want to say a rather somber thing. With this Isis or Isil crap erupting in Iraq and Syria, we may have new moms coming this way. I want to reinforce that this group is not just for Navy moms...it's for any parent/loved one of a warrior boots down in a war zone, or serving in an unknown spot like MEU's can take them. Please, if you know or spot anyone who is worried, floundering or just plain scared, you know what to do. We are here to make sure no one feels alone in that dreaded time of deployment fear.
