For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

RIP as our hearts go out to Captain Matthew D Roland (Jonathan's Captain) & his family as he was identified as one of 2 casualties in Afghanistan. We have had the pleasure of meeting him a couple of times before deployments and he loved his country & loved his team.

TDM...it's been a very very sad week for all of us. Although we are not blood related to the families of these fallen military heroes, we can all feel the heartbreaking pain & suffering they are enduring. We are all "One" bonded by sons & daughters serving our country to keep it safe, as they are in our own backyards......

TDM, thanks for letting me know about Transitions. I will check it out. TNM, that is such a wonderful gesture on the part of your son. Our prayers for all these families as they endure the funerals and the hard course of healing. We aren't even safe on our own soil.

We all know the fear of a child in combat, the sleepless nights, the knot in our gut, the jump at the knock at the door and the sitting up all night on sites like these just to connect with others who feel the same....but our kids are supposed to be safe at home in the USA. They are supposed to be SAFE from combat danger. My heart breaks for the families of these fallen, who woke up one morning and sent them off to work....plans for the evenings, kisses from kids on their cheeks....Fair Winds and Following Seas, Semper Fi.

While the media, military and law enforcement were sorting out details from the Thursday morning shooting in Chattanooga, Tenn., family members of one of the victims, who has ties to Kansas, were praying and rushing to be at his side.
Paula Proxmire, who lives in Ottawa County, received word Thursday morning that her son, Randall Smith, 26, a logistics specialist in the U.S. Navy, suffered three gunshot wounds during the incident in Chattanooga. He underwent surgery Thursday afternoon, said Tania Daugherty, of Minneapolis, Proxmire’s cousin.
