DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi my name is Dawn. My son is stationed in Atsugi, Japan. His squadron is attached to the USS George Washington. He has been there for a year now and his wife and son just went over about a month ago. My myspace address is Myspace.com/bndgang. The name on the page is Bernie and Dawn. It was originally set up for us to talk to our kids...its gotten to be a little more than that now.

Carol Graner, if you are going to Yokosuka, you will really enjoy it. I was there in December 2007 and loved it. While there, we spent some time in Yokohama and we even went to see the Big Budda. I don't remember the name of the little town we went to but it was exciting. You can see a picture of it on MySpace page under my pictures. We ate at a lot of different restaurants. My son had a house in Yokosuka but he wanted to take me to some of his favorite places. We took the train a lot and rode the bus everywhere. While in Yokohama, we went to China Town and spent the day going throught it. It was really a little weird, going to China Town in Japan. Hope you have lots of fun. Post some pictures when you get back.
