While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Have you updated or changed your browser? I did and now have all kinds of problems. I was actually having another issue and wasn't able to respond to a private message from site support. Thank goodness they left me an e-mail address as well. When I mentioned my difficulty responding to private messages, they responded with this:

regarding the same issue. Ning, our host site, responded with the

"Sorry to hear your members are experiencing this issue! It sounds
like they might be using a browser that isn't supported, as we've received other
reports of people being unable to send or receive messages, only to find out it
was because they were using Internet Explorer 9. Internet Explorer 9 and Chrome
11.0 are both recently released browser versions that are not at this time
supported on the platform. Please suggest to your members who have reported this
issue that they try accessing the network in a different browser, such as
Firefox or Safari and see if that helps."

There's a discussion somewhere above that says "your sailor's schedule upon arriving". it'll tell you about what is allowed during each phase. Not sure if you saw this on the Nuke School Charleston site.

How does liberty work for the 4th of July weekend for sailors just arriving to "A" School down in Goose Creek. It falls about two weeks after arriving. I'm assuming no overnight until they phase up, but will they have sat, sun and mon liberty during the day? off-base? Would this be a good time to visit?

I saw a Senator or Congress Woman, can't remember which( she is the chairperson for the Veteran's admin., or something like that), on the news this morning, talking about our vets and how there is a 27% unemployment rate with vets. It is so sad. So many of our men and women come home and don't feel that their military experience translates into skills and they often leave their military service off of their resumes because they feel like their resume is put at the bottom of the pile. As this lady said, our vets are the most hard working, punctual, team players an employer will ever find, and their military training and job skills should be highly sought after.

She said they are working on trying to get legislation to give military college credits or certifications for their military work so that this will carry with them, rather than them having to start over, when they get out of the military. This is sooooo the right thing to do.

A very Blessed Memorial Day to all our vets and to all our current military personnel. Your service is truly appreciated and never forgotten.

We'll be gone the weekend of June 10/11/12 but other than that, mi casa su casa. I'm serious! the largest group we've had over was 18 from Ft. Worth going to VA. "friend" me here on N4M if it might work for you! sorry, though, still haven't tried to make cake balls. Would u settle for granola and yogurt? :)

New idea is all black dresses of all different styles but doing purple (wedding color) hair accessories, flowers, bows, and shoes. Then we can get the dresses elsewhere because Davids Bridal is on my hit list!
