OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

nv: have you tried Oxiclean? I've used it for all kinds of stains. For really bad stains, I've soaked the stuff in Oxiclean overnight before washing. Sometimes I've had to do it twice to really get the stain out. I bet the stuff is similar to the "crystals" dish washer soap Sharon mentioned.

And . . . got our invitation today for our son's power school graduation. Woo hoo! Just love how the invitation contains a note that the school is challenging and demanding and recommends that we remain in contact with our sailor before "finalizing travel arrangements to avoid any inconvenience." Can't say they didn't warn us. And a good thing we waited before making any final travel arrangements for boot camp graduation--it was one year ago today that our son ruptured his appendix while he was in boot camp. Life sure is interesting.

I love cooking, find it to be very therapeutic....

I do this for Korey's "white" baseball uniforms and they have always come out clean!! One of the coach's told us to do this and it worked. Make sure it is not liquid dishwasher soap though. I always sprayed them with whatever pre-wash too and you have clean whites!!!! Ya may want to change what you are currently using, that may be the problem with the fabric of your clothes. Just a thought and I hope this may help.

@dor, I am sorry that you didn't attend the wedding, that is really sad they didn't include you and hubby. Prayers that they will want a great party when they are home and you have a big hand in planning it!

He's got motivation to get all the points he needs in a day, he's just having trouble proving that he knows the information well enough to get a signature. I'm hoping that this week goes better. Just starting week 2!

Comment by amanda on July 11, 2011 at 7:36pm: elizabeth- Rosko only barks whenever I'm telling him "No" if he's being bad. It's like him saying "no" right back. It becomes quite the stand-off lol. I also found out that he's afraid of the dark. Last night he barked at the trash can and recycle bin until I turned on the light (mind you, this is 3am) and held him while he inspected it. Quite the protector (insert eye roll).

nvmomma- idk if this would work for you, but when I accidentally dyed all my whites blue, I soaked them in a tub of borax and water for a day. Got all the blue out, maybe it would work for sweat stains? I also love Clorox 2.
