This is the final test for your SRs.  It is an overnight 12 hr drill that tests them on all they have learned and may encounter when deployed on a ship.  It takes place on the Disney-created USS…Continue

Hello all.  I got a call last night too.  I have my phone on me 24/7 and I missed it!!!!  The message said, quick call to be sure you know PIR is 5/26 not 5/27.  Change your tickets.  He did not sound sick so that appears to be over.  SO good to hear his voice.  Curious about paychecks too Mmiles and others.  I have seen nothing deposited in his account yet, but I do know what comes will be little.

Did they mail his check home or direct deposit it?

FYI- I found some great info on ordering Division tshirts in case anyone wants to order one for themselves, family or for your RC. I posted it in a new discussion for you along with the order form! Have a great day!!

skell:  I know that they were paid in 2 separate payments last week because of the potential gov shutdown.  The first was through the 8th; the second, the 8th-14th.  Also, they will be taking from the first couple of paychecks for their supplies/uniforms at bc.  So those checks are smaller.

Hey guys.  Just wondering if anyone else has their SRs pay information.  We got his first paycheck but it was really really small.  Just wondering if anyone else had that same problem???  I was wondering if it was because of the budget stuff or what.  I'm so confused!!!!

1fireteamwife- How great that you got to speak to both of your military men!!!

My SR called tonight too! Didn't expect it. Was really looking at tomorrow. I was going to sit down tonight and write out stuff to ask him! I still will, just in case. It literally was an "I'm still alive" call!

I almost missed it! I was outside. He sounded good...until I picked up. Then he got choked up. :-(

Thank you JessicaB for posting earlier about this. I have kept it on my mind so I would "keep it together". I did. Otherwise I am sure I could "imagine" all kinds of reasons for it! What you said will get me through feeling feklempt! Only had a short boo-hoo after, so I wouldn't upset my other two young men here at home.

Good news-PIR 26th (TY, but I already know! Hurry...not much time!)

Bad news-the Navy has added 8 weeks to his "A" school. So, 22 rather than 14 weeks. I read somewhere that they can alter the contract if they so deem it necessary. Doody-on-a-stick.

Hadn't rc'd mail yet .I waited until I rc'd the form letter to make sure I had the correct address. Then just had to get started writing and getting cards. Been a BUSY couple of weeks. Plus, I was getting boxes ready for hubb y(deployed). (I despise customs forms!)

Hubby called today too. Worn out. Both my military men needed cheering up! (I was strong JessicaB!) But I'll admit to you all that I am crying as I write this. I can now. Both are safe (especially the deployed one! Been "getting it" lately.). Both got to call.

mmiles, We flew into Milwaukee at 4:45p.m. on a Wednesday.  The traffic going to Waukegan moved along pretty good.  There were no delays at all and it took us a little less than an hour to get to Waukegan.
