Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

JAMom:  Battlestations for the 900 division should be during PIR week.  So you have a couple of more weeks to wait!  :-)

Thanks so much, I'm glad y'all like it :)

momof1navyguy, my daughter was in the choir and they didn't have the live stream back them but I did get to see pics with her in them and it didn't take away from the awe moment at all. It was so amazing in person and I am sure it would be the same with the video. nothing can compare to the real thing :)

Thank you for the the questionnaire test!! Love it.... My SR (son) is also in 910!! I want to watch the 1/10/14 PIR to maybe get a glimpse of him (drum line) but I am conflicted. I want to have that awe moment when I see him live. What are the thoughts of moms that have already gone through this?? God Bless and Hugs

My daughter who is in division 910 said the flags will be performing in the Jan 10th PIR as well as their own PIR but not the one on Jan 3rd as originally thought. I thought I would share this but of information for anyone wanting to stream the earlier PIR.

Emily, I think both brother divisions mist be really busy folks. I have not heard from my SR either. Someone suggested they are fast tracking (maybe because of Holidays) & must be working really hard. Again, "no news is good news".

Okay need some or one question answered.  My son is in Div 64, what week are they on now and what is coming up?  I tried to keep up but dealing with the after affects of open heart surgery and the holidays and I am lost and confused (I get to blame it on the stroke at least).

Comment by JAmom on December 30, 2013 at 12:30pm

Thank you for the info regarding watching the PIRs...I have family who want to see it.  Haven't heard from my SR in over two weeks from 910...have gotten 2 letters, though.  Battlestations should be next week, right?  Hoping for a call then, if not before.
