Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends"

Thinking that tomorrow may be the day they get the "held mail" and can write for the first time.  If so, they will be mailing letters on Monday!  So be checking those mailboxes later in the week!  After the first Sunday mail delivery, they will receive mail M-F.  But they usually can only write once a week and mail out on Mondays.

bikerbabe55- I dont know about div 910 but my husband today said in div 066 they have started getting letters and faster than I expected. I sent two on Wednesday and he said he got them both yesterday. He did say that they have not been allowed to write letters yet though. Just keep writing!

Hi! I am so very happy for all of you that have been lucky enough to hear your SR's voice! That in itself has got to be a huge relief.. I don't understand why some have heard from their SR twice and it seems as though the 910 division has not made one phone call yet! I also am wondering if they are getting our letters and cards yet? Does anyone know when we could possibly at least get a letter from our SR? I'm not talking about the form letter, I'm talking about a personal one. Sorry if I sound fussy but I'm feeling sorry for myself today .. Got my blue candle lit..

My son called from 66 today!!! Talked for about 30 minutes. He sounded so much better than on Thanksgiving. I think his spirits are better and the guys bunking near him are helping him out a lot. Was so good to hear his voice!! We have our reservations made fro PIR too!!!

Hello. Booked this morning for PIR...still no call from my son in div 910...anyone hear fom theirs yet? Navy Lodge was most helpful. Thank you, moms, who have "been there and done this" because all this info is so helpful!

He said on Thanksgiving he would call on Sunday. I even figured out how to transfer the home phone to my cell so when I leave for work tomorrow I would not miss his call. Hope his helps someone else not miss a future call! Your SR can call at anytime on any phone. Lol

I have kept my phone attached to me since he left.  I realized that most of the pants I wear to work do not have pockets and I have been walking around with my phone in my hand.  But I did not want to miss a call.
