Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

This group has been a lifeline for me to my son. It was so awesome having people to turn to that have been there before or who are just experiencing sending your son or daughter to boot camp for the first time. I was so lost when he first left and I thank God I found this group. You are all a wonderful group of people and I hope I get to meet every one of you (and your Sailor's) this weekend. You have made this experience tolerable for me and I really appreciate it. Thank you so much to everyone!!! Woohoo, just one more day. Safe travels, I can't believe it is almost over!

Two days and counting down!!! Haven't heard from my SR in div 074 yet, Kathleen and 073 and 074 are brother divisions so maybe soon!! Hope everyone has safe travels and hope to meet yall at Sarge's tomorrow night!!!!

I just completed the story about the history of the USS Arizona (ship 14), the history of the USS Arizona (BB-39), and the story of the challenge coin.

Just go to this link and scroll to the USS Arizona area. Yea, it's long, but the USS Arizona has a lot of cool history...
