Lala, haha, that's ok.  We don't really know last names on here, so that's understandable.  I can't wait to get them.  :)  Wow, you are fast!

Betsy- I did get your check and I am almost finished with your tote bags and Kindle cover. I will post a pic on my facebook page as soon as I can. I hate to admit but I didn't even realize they were for you lol. I didn't put it together when I saw you name lol. I am glad your hubby made there okay. I hope that snow isn't headed headed east :-)

FTLW, congrats on the accomplishments of you son. That is awesome and it is so good your husband will get to finally see him again.

I have an awesome pic of my Sailor today. It is of her next to a jet that has her name on it so that is why I can't post it here :-(. Maybe I can figure out how to hide the name lol.

And those wondering about getting more guests into PIR my daughters PIR had 13 DIV's and we took 4 extra guests and everyone got in with no problems :-)

I got the form letter today...Ship 12 Div 050.  The few sentences he wrote sounded really good:)

Just got the form letter today! Yeah  Ship 7 Div 51!

Comment by Betsy, mom of Stennis sailor on December 5, 2011 at 6:26pm

Thanks, diannep.  He arrived just fine, but he said they are still calling for 6-12 inches of snow between now and tomorrow.  Yikes!  In Albuquerque, that would shut down the city for days, LOL

navywife:  Be sure to join the group:

Navy Wives on N4M

They will have much better info for you on paperwork for the wives.

Prayers for him, Betsy!  Those pilots know what they're doing though!  They are GOOOOOOD!  :-)

Yah, FTLW!  Congrats to your new Seabee!  So glad that "hubs' will be reunited with him!  That is wonderful!

You feel better....and horsie and doggie too.....wow....I think you need a CALGON TAKE ME AWAY bath!

Josie:  Your SR lists the 4 "approved" people on the form letter.  They get a chance to update that a couple of weeks before PIR.

The Navy will only guarantee those 4 to get in.  However, extras are invited to come (with proper ID).  They may have to wait at the Visitors Center until all others are seated, but normally they don't even have to do this.  They just can't guarantee that they will get into the hall...but they will be on base.  But like I said, PIR groups of 13 divisions seem to have the extras get in.  It is worth taking a chance!  Worse that can happen is that they will wait at the Visitors Center and meet you after it is over.

Plan on all going...

Comment by momma2many on December 5, 2011 at 5:01pm

I've been gone most of the day. sorry.  Got my letter today. his note was 3 lines. LOL  oh welll.  he's my boy.

Comment by Josie on December 5, 2011 at 4:08pm

diannep how do you find out if they let other people in the PIR and do they have to sign up some where. I might have a big group going and like to know and if not we will make do at the hotel or some where
