Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by mantha4 (Ship12 Div 050) on January 20, 2012 at 3:04pm: The weather next week is supposed to be free an clear. No snow (knock on wood). My husband wants to go out and about so I rented a car, but I'm taking the shuttle to the graduation. I have hear that parking is not fun.

my son wrote a short note and mentioned he was super busy doing all the late testing, training and stuff. he was writing at taps, so if your husband has been sick, he's prob going to sleep at taps! lol no news is good news, mama. big hugs.

We also rented a car, but I think we are going to take the shuttle to PIR because I have heard a lot of complaints about getting cars checked into the base. The hotel that I am staying at charge's 6.00 for the shuttle ride.

I'm driving to the base from the hotel, I'm guessing I'll know where to go by the long line of cars! No too much longer now ladies! This time is going by so slow...the lack of sleep doesn't help either! Onto another cup of coffee to power through the rest of my day! We are almost there!
