I got three letters today, jackpot.  She stated that many of the "leaders" are causing problems because they are always chatting.  She was also not impressed with the shot.  She hates needles anyways, so this was just horrible for her.  She did also say that one of the girls was busted for writing notes to one of the guys in the brother company.  Frating is not allowed at all.  She is worried about her run, she is 30 seconds shy so far.  She sounded uplifted though but telling me that she can hear my voice in her head telling her that she can do this and nothing is going to get in the way.  God is good.  I always told her that.  Take advantage of a challenge and overcome.  I am looking forward to seeing all the moms from our team.  This will be so very supportive for our SR's also.

Glad you got a picture of your man. I saw it on RTC's FB page :D  I know you really needed that.  Only 2 more weeks Navywife11, we're almost there.

And who knew your good luck would come on Friday the 13th!

Mindy, we don't know his division.  It has been reported that he was to PIR on 1/20.

Is there a Facebook page for this group. If not I would like to start one.

I can only imagine what the other recruits and his family is going through.  Losing a shipmate is not easy...especially since they are pushed together to work as a team.  Everyone is connected.  I pray for all the SR and family.

From Naval Service Training Command Public Affairs:

GREAT LAKES, Ill. (Jan. 11, 2012) — A Navy recruit died Jan. 11 while in boot camp training at Recruit Training Command (RTC) here.

The incident took place during a standard physical fitness assessment at RTC. Lovell Federal Health Care Center medical service personnel pronounced the recruit dead at approximately 9:57 a.m. CST. An investigatio...n by the Navy and Naval Criminal Investigative Service to determine the details of the incident is in progress.

“This seaman recruit was an outstanding recruit,” said Capt. Steven Bethke, commanding officer, RTC. “Our thoughts and prayers go out to his entire family. His loss is felt by the entire RTC staff.”

The recruit enlisted in the U.S. Navy Nov. 16, 2011, and was scheduled to graduate from Navy boot camp this month. Following graduation, he would have a machinist’s mate in the Navy.

The recruit is survived by his parents.

We respectfully ask that everyone please refrain from posting the recruit’s name on our Facebook page.
