Sorry Anita!  I can understand your conflicted feelings!  On one hand, you are probably so anxious to just grab him and hug him and the other you wanted him to succeed...but the fact that he's coming home just means that this wasn't his path.  Don't you worry, he will find it (I know, I was one of those kids that took a long time to grow up!).  Good luck and give him all of our love too!

Well 847 came across my cell phone as I was driving to work. My SR has been moved to ship 5 and you all know what that means. I just want to thank you all for your support & kind words over the past month or so. Bittersweet & I don't even know how to feel right now. Luckily it isn't anything serious, just not acceptable in our Navy (understandable). Take care & I may check back in here once in a while. :(

Our two younger sons received letters from their SR older brother yesterday.  Those letters sounded positive too; although he can't wait for graduation and to get on doing the job that he hopes he gets.  He said things are moving along and he can't believe he has been there over a month. He thought it would be exciting to perform in a couple of graduations in January.   We can't wait to see him on January 27th.

That is awesome Marie, when you get back to your letter you can send the names to your friends in a private message. Be sure and not post them on here. It's funny how most of them don't even know their friends first names and even after they have been out of bootcamp for over a year they still call them by their last name :-)

Anita - That's what they say...No news is good news. Continue to pray you have good news.

No phone call!  Guess I'm safe to assume it won't happen tonight.  Really hoping this is good news!!!

Mindy,

Tell your son to have his mouth checked if he is still in pain and especially if there is a funky taste in his mouth.  We had my daughter's wisdoms pulled before BC and she got an infection in one.  The hard part was it had mostly closed up so it didn't LOOK too bad until he opened it up.  She went back and he cleaned it up adn gave her monster antibiotics(That was the hardest part, LOL, apparently her stomach is not a fan of antibiotics!)  After 2-3 days she was SO MUCH better!

Lala and mantha4- her information is correct and if you decide to rent, there is always a military clause that allows you to get a deposit waived (sometimes) but also when he gets his orders to move, you do not "break" you lease.  He HAS to move and you are not pentalized.  I really liked renting for that reason.  When he gets his DEERS done and get the Quarters request in, you will be put on a list for housing but you can request off base housing which is an extra allowance to their pay.  I remember it being BAQ and he will get extra money for dependents and food and such.  The is many things involved.  Now when he is in A school, they may ask you to wait a certain time but once he is stationed somewhere, that is like i explained.  I was a married sailor at first but then became a single mother of three.  I know all the "extra"s that there are.  Being a spouse of a Sailor is a beautiful thing.  Even if you want to work on base, I loved just being a cashier at the commissary.  It was fun.
