For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

I have had a couple people in the last few days who have sent emails to me to order ribbons for PIR that I have not received. Sometimes emails on this site get lost for some reason. So, if you sent me an email and I didn't respond that means I didn't get it. So please try again or email me at uniquememorymakers@yahoo.com You still have plenty of time to order so no worries, just let me know :-)

I am sure it meant the world to you and your children to hear his voice. I think that is really neat that you are going to write him a letter telling him how much his selfless act meant to your family.

Comment by navywife11 on December 26, 2011 at 11:55am: i agree! when my husband told me the story he said he was all teary eyed because what the other SR did, i am going to write him a thank you letter and i hope to meet him as well! and YES god works in amazing ways, i was truley touched! especially doing that in BC where things are tough for him to, but that didnt matter to him, he was thinking of other people and not himself! i am so proud of ALL of them! I hope all of you have a great day! prayers and thoughts are with you all

Comment by navywife11 on December 25, 2011 at 9:17pm: i am so thankful! i was able to hear my husbands voice today, thanks to his fellow recruit, the other recruit GAVE my husband HIS phone call to him so my husband could speak to me and his kids! what a honorable unselfish thing to do! that is JUST what i needed, it was getting really tough and was slowly breaking down, i prayed for a sign or something to build me up and keep me string, sure enough the man up stairs answered my prayers! hes doing great and i am soo proud, just 32 more days till i hold my man again! my thoughts and prayers are with you all, i sure wouldve liked a picture but soon enough well be together again!
