OPSEC, OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmust importance. Please take the time to read the Opsec and Community Guidelines. A quick note here: Last Names are never allowed on this site. If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture.

Merry Christmas ladies, I hope you all enjoy your day. When I spoke with my SR yesterday he said that spirits were high there and that they were all looking forward to a great meal today. Remember our SR's are part of large family and  look out for each other.

Merry Christmas everyone. Nearly impossible to feel the Christmas spirit today but will put on my game face for the rest of the family. :) Have a wonderful day.

"time" not "tim."  I guess I'm thinking of Tiny Tim!  :-)

Comment by diannep on December 25, 2011 at 10:58am

Merry Christmas to all!  Two years ago, my sailor was also in bootcamp at this tim, so I know the feelings you have this morning.  It was very hard for my other son and me to be around the tree without him--reminded us of the 1st Christmas after my husband/their dad died...and the "missing person".  But blessings abound in our lives and my sailor has been able to make it home for Christmas the past two years.  Here's praying for blessings in your futures also...at Christmas time!

My son received an extra long and tight hug last night at Christmas Service from a high school teacher/mentor of his.  I could see my son start to let go but she wouldn't.  I could see she was crying.  Her son, same age as mine...and they went to school/church together...just deployed to Afghanistan (Army officer) 2 mos ago...for the first time.  I know her hug for my son was a hug for her son too...and hope it helped her a little bit.  Made me realize how many are out there sacrificing for our country.  God Bless each of them today.

Merry Christmas!

Good Morning everyone, Hang in there, I know it is hard, but this time will pass quickly and it won't be long until you have a Sailor and you are hugging them tight. I hope you all have a wonderful day and enjoy some time with your family and friends. I hope you all do get a call from your recruits. My fingers are crossed for you. Merry Christmas
