Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

If it is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended. First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but discouraged as their RDC's read this site and can easily match them up with their "mom". Comment by diannep on December 20, 2011 at 11:48pm: Anita: Feel free to message out the SRs names (not receiving mail) + addresses to the other members of this group using the "Send Message to Group" prompt at the top of the page. That way, others in this group can write too (but the Send Message to Group goes into everyones PRIVATE email address, not N4Moms email, so it is kept off the public board here.). They love receiving letters from other ladies on here!

Good night all ! My sailor arrived home for Christmas today...we had a full day and I'm beat! But so happy to have both of my sons right now...asleep in my house at the same time....for the first time in over 2 years! My older son had moved out right before sailor left for bootcamp in Nov 2009...but he moved back in last Aug when his rental condo was short-saled...and now sailor is home for the first time in a year. Now...they are both safe and sound here....for the next week! HOOYAH!

It breaks my heart to hear these young men and women struggling with it but I can tell that for my son and many that have gone before them that it has made them better men and women. I hope with the next call/letter you hear an improvement.

Don't get me wrong, he still wants the letters but is sending me names of other SR's in his division that aren't getting mail. Asked if my friends & I would write to them! He's so sweet & I miss him SOOO much!!! Smiles & happy tears!!!
