NavyMom: They can't mail out for 2 weeks after arriving. If they couldn't mail them this past Monday, maybe it will be next Monday. There's always tomorrow! Hoping that you have a letter in your box then!
Hi Navywife 11, I have been a military wife, daughter and mother. I don't know which one is harder. How are you doing?
Lala, I suppose it is nice that hubby is interested. When I think about it all too much, it upsets me. So, I guess I try to not think about it too much. I told him I am changing the password so he can't get on anymore, lol.
hey autumnsunset! my husband is in that div :) i havent received anything yet :( but im hoping soon!
Lol, at least your hubby likes this site :-) When my daughter was at bootcamp my husband usually just looked at me and shook his head for the first few weeks. But by the end he was asking how some of my friends on this site were doing lol.
Hi. My son is Ship 02/Div 910. My hubby has been driving me nuts about getting the hotel booked. So I just completed that.
Hubby seems to live and breathe N4M's website. Any other mom's have their hubby driving them nuts???
Anyways, still waiting for that first real letter.
So happy for all the moms who received letters! Such a great feeling right? I have not received any yet, but I know they are coming. For all of you still waiting ... they will come and you will probably be very emotional.... I was when I received letters from my daughter when she went through bc. Also , if the 1st letter or 2 are not very upbeat ...maybe even sounding a little depressed... try not to worry too much... I worried like crazy as my daughters 1st 2 letters sounded like she was so sad... she was very homesick .... I wrote her back being very positive telling her to hang in there and that she could get through it... she said the physical part was not hard for her , it was the homesick part that was hard... she said she needed to see a familar face... but as time went on ... her letters were more upbeat, she said she went to the chapels on Sunday for guidance...she says it really helped her... she now has made a ton of friends ... people with whom she bonded with in bc... graduation is amazing ... tell your recruit to keep looking ahead and that it WILL get better ... I promise ...hopefully when I get home today , I have a letter... keep your fingers crossed for me ...I will keep you all in my prayers also ... we will get through this :-)
Hi all. I received my first official letter today :-) 3 pages long, was very impressed especially since my son writes small. He seemed very up beat and positive. Even cracking some jokes. His personality was reflected in his words. Had me crying, laughing and smiling all at once...what a wonderful feeling! One of the things that stood out to me was...before he left, he said "mom, I don't want you to send me a letter every day. I don't want to get ribbed that my mom writes me every day" I then told him that I would respect his wishes (hoping his wishes would change). Well would you believe he made the request four different times in this letter for me to write. LOL That really put a smile on my face. So now this mom feels like she can relax a little and take a really deep breath....and continue writing as often as I want too :-)
just checked the mail, and the mail had come but no letter from my SR. He wrote on his form letter that he had written but wasn't allowed to mail them until this week. I am therefore confused since I know he has written and was allowed to mail them this week why I haven't got one. Is it possible that his division got into trouble and they weren't allowed to mail letters?
