Oh I am going to have such a hard time focusing today at work thinking that there might be a letter sitting at my house in the mailbox (after the mail runs of course)...ugh I feel like I've been here forever already and the mailman dosen't even get there til 1pm
I was so happy to have received a letter yesterday. It was not very long but I did enjoy hearing from him. I really needed a pick me up yesterday. It made my day!! Hope you all get a letter real soon. Have a blessed day!!
This video is so cute. Not American Sailors but Sailors just the same. They went out on what was supposed to be a 7 day deployment and got rerouted and now this British Sailors have been gone for 7 months but are now coming home for Christmas. Enjoy!!!
navywife, maybe today will be your day for a letter. I have my fingers crossed for ya :-) for you to SC Navy Mom
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.
NavyMom: Yes, Springhill and Courtyard are there together and just past the Residence Inn. Marriott owns them all. I just know that on past groups, people had said they were staying at "the Marriott" when they meant one of these hotels. For future reference to other PIR groups, I'm just wondering if there is an actual Marriott Hotel (Marriott owns ones who are called that....my son worked for a couple)...that close to RTC since we have never heard of it.
AMEN, SC NavyMom. SO true! Words are cheap...actions show so much more. The Lord never promised us a "rose garden" in life here...but He promised that He would never leave us...so we claim that! Through thick and thin! :-)
Good letter, MrsDavid. Well, of course, all letters from them are "treasures" even if they have some "negative" news....they are persevering!
navywife: It will happen for you soon!
Good morning all! Congrats to those of you who received letters...I am so happy for you!!! Hopefully, for the rest of us, the letter will arrive very soon. It just dawned on me that we must now practice what we have instilled in our children... "good things come to those who wait" ..."in life you can't always get what you want, when you want it" to name a few. LOL We must now remember to practice what we have preached to them all these years. Wishing everyone a wonderful day !
Good morning everyone! im so jealous everyones getting letters :( but happy for all of you! my husband left nov 21st and we havent received anything yet, im hoping soon :)
I recieved a letter from him yesterday. My husband chuckled at me when I said I needed to get on the computer and "tell the girls about it!". But after unwinding from work and getting dinner thrown together, I was too wiped out and went to bed. We are normally up at 4am to get ready for work. But since Davids left, THE DOG THINKS WE SHOULD GET UP AT 2, AND 2:15, AND 2:27...
Anyway...He says the processing "sucked", and he's probably got the thickest glasses there. They ARE the thickest in his division at least!
Now that they are in Boot Camp for real..." We're getting our butts kicked everyday!"
He really wants us to write back, and most importantly: send football scores! "Every dude here is a football fan..."
Yes, I've already written back. But the only score I sent him: Grommet (that's the dog) 7 , parents 0
Good Morning!
