Good Morning!

"Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have

learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

I know how to be abased, and I know how to

Hello Friends!

"Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by

     prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving,

let your requests be known to God; and the

peace of God, which surpasses all understanding

will guard your hearts and minds through

     Christ Jesus."

By the way, Seamen can be assigned to ship or shore duty once school is completed.

coachjb:  Yes, there are deductions made from their first paychecks to take out for uniforms, their supplies at Bootcamp, etc.  Nothing is given to them!  Many don't realize that their first couple of paychecks are pretty low because of this and they wonder what happened.

If a SR is discharged during Bootcamp after they have paid for uniforms, it doesn't matter....they are sent home usually in their Navy sweats and the uniforms stay there.  Even though they paid for them, they are not theirs if they are separated from the Navy.

Here is more of an explanation of Seaman:

He has three stripes on the left sleeve of his dress uniform and while he has a rate – seaman 1st class, the rank for the E-3 pay rate in the Navy -- he’s probably training for one of the many ratings that will be his profession throughout his enlisted career. The duties of a Navy seaman 1st class may be many, but they often fall into one of two categories: either he’s a student learning his Navy job or he’s a seagoing janitor. The seaman 1st class is often the reason those nice, clean Navy ships look that way.

coachjb:  Hmmmm....I think what your SR is saying is that the extras may be able to go into the Chapel on base and watch the Livestream.  They will NOT be allowed in PIR Hall to watch the live service....if you take extras to PIR, please be sure that you have return transportation in place for them in case they are denied access to the base.  This has happened both ways in previous groups...some allowed into the Chapel, some were not.  If taking a shuttle from a hotel, they should be able to return you to the hotel if necessary.

My son was a SN (seaman) after graduation but they all don't attend A School in GL.  That is just the pay level that they are....E-3.  My son went to A School in Mississippi.

Vickie360,

You can also contact Sarge at 847-212-0246 to let him know you are interested in starting a Basket Project and are waiting for Yorkiefan to respond.  Maybe he could get her to contact you.  Maybe she isn't on here as much lately~~

I'm glad I could help you with scripture selection!  :)

coachjb,

No extras allowed and there is no window area for viewing at all.

Yes, their uniforms and gear are paid for by their Navy pay~~
