The 12 in TG means that the TG started their training in the twelfth week of the fiscal year. Military fiscal year starts October 1.
TG = Training Group
A TG is made up of all the divisions that will graduate in the same day.
Diannep, thanks so much for the encouragement. I so admire the women here whose children have already finished their service, but still stick around to help those of us who are navigating this adventure for the first time. My sincere thanks.
My thanks to your son for his service, and kudos to him for pursuing his degree. This is the same thing my son plans on doing. Hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
brendan'smom: We have all "been there!" So just look for support and help here on this site!
I too an a N4Moms veteran....my son was at Bootcamp in 2009. He has now been honorably discharged and is finishing up his Bachelors degree on the GI Bill. I have been helping on the PIR groups since early 2010 and love it!
Welcome to Navy Bootcamp! For the newcomers, please read the "pages' info, above and to the right on this page, for lots of info that ellen has posted!
Hi, I'm already confused! PIR 01/30/2015 TG 12 What does the TG 12 mean? My daughter is on ship 11 Div 079 and I am looking forward seeing her Jan 30th!
My son is in Ship 12 Div 076. January 30th can't get here soon enough!
Oh, momof4, I'm so excited to learn this. You're the first person I've connected with whose son is in the same Ship/Div. And I'm thrilled to know someone on the site who has gone through this before. This is all so new to me, and I feel like a lost lamb 90% of the time. This site has been a godsend.
My son is Ship 11 Division 80 also Brendan's mom. I am so happy to get the PIR date and the address! This is my second son to go through Great Lakes, it is less stressful the second time around!
Welcome to all the new loved ones in this PIR group!!
Happy Friday!
