Richard, you need to delete and repost your entry without the possible BS21 date - you cannot post possible battle station dates publicly....it is against OPSEC guidelines.

I have received a couple of different dates for Div 805 for BattleStations...as I have for many of the divisions!  Very confusing.  Please be careful not to post exact dates here on this page or in discussion groups.  We aren't allowed to do that (RTC rules)--not on Facebook either.  You can post that you have a date and let others message you for it.  Thanks, ladies! 

But one thing is for sure...by Thurs afternoon, this PIR group should have lots of sailors!  HOOYAH!  Good Morning!

KatsMom, I spent the first few weeks, when my son was in BC, so confused until I found out he had been in processing and p hold for 16 days. He went in with an expected PIR date and ended up in the PIR the week before. He and his brother division were doing things within two days of the first divisions to start training I was sooo lost for a while...LOL His BS was the overnight of week 6 day 1 to week 6 day 2, and PIR was on what "should have been" week 6 day 5 of training.

Push divisions are somewhat hard to follow from the outside, as to what they are doing, because they don't follow the "normal" day to day schedule.

Yep, what day their PIR is what counts!!

But even though they won't get to 6-5, they will graduate on 1 Feb, and that's what counts!

ellen0502, thanks that explains a lot about my daughter's division.  She's in 912 and I've heard a couple of folks mention that it's a push division.  She told me what day they were on when she called me on Jan 3.  Given the weekends and holidays, I couldn't figure out how they were going to get to day 6-5 before PIR.  Now I see they are not.

KatsMom, a push division is one that finishes training in less time then the rest of the training group. When there is a push division, it is usually the last two divisions in a training group, and is generally because of p hold, waiting for others to arrive to fill the division. A push division will finish training anywhere from five to six weeks training (to PIR), they get the same training as the other just in a shorter period of time.

This can cause those of us watching from the "outside" some confusion, things are not always done in the same time frame as the other divisions. Example: Marlinspike is done by all other divisions on week 4 day four, but in a push, it may be done week 4 day 1 (those days are not exact).  Battlestations, being their final test, is usually scheduled week 6 day 5, but a push division may do BS as early as the end of week five.

KatsMom:  The last division to fill up so they have less days to get all done...but they get it done!
