~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Your room is ready! I thought you and P had planned a trip to the Keys in Jan? Or is it later in the summer?
We have a small internet company and they actually provide the modem and router for you at no charge with their high speed internet package so at least I didn't have to wait on one.
Now we are on the countdown to snow lol, raining for 4 days and unseasonably warm temps, now flooding near the rivers and stream and cooler temps. Tomorrow much colder and snow moving in by afternoon; 4 to 8 inches of snow expected. Now I really want to come see you Diannep :)
Welcome back, Lala! My mom just got a new computer and new modem...problems with modem...ATT said they have been having "modem issues." Hmmm....seems that is a HUGE issue! She is now waiting for her 2nd modem to arrive...the other one is only a couple of weeks old! They don't make things like they use to! :-) Hope that your internet stays on and your modem is "the one!"
Time flies when you're having run right? :) It really dies pass quicker than you expect it too. and once they are out of boot camp the time really flies!!!
Sorry I have been MIA for a couple of Days. Our internet company did an upgrade to make our internet "better." Well I don't know if it is better, but after two days of being offline, suffering from withdrawal from being away from this site and facebook for too long, and a repair man making not one but two trips to our house and two new modems I am at least back online :) YAY!!!
NotsoBlue...yes, we got a call as well and I cannot believe it, we were not home. I could just cry!!! But did get a letter today as well and our son said that yes Div 79 is cranking it out!! so proud of them all. Hoping I get to hear his voice SOON.
I heard from someone special in div 79. He said his group is "killin it!" So happy to hear this. They are hoping to win Hall of Fame Division. He won sharp shooter flag which he said wasnt a big deal. To me it is. They also have Drill Flag. Did anyone else get a call? Love to kmow more. He only gave me 2 min. Wanted to call his girlfriend.
@Rose - I cannot believe that in two weeks we will be on our way to the Great White North and to see our Sailors! This is so exciting! Lots of prayers and supporting thoughts going out to all of the SRs as they go through their last 2 weeks of BC.
Good morning everyone! I'm so happy that PIR is almost here!!! We actually leave for Chicago two weeks from today and I honestly can't wait!!!! We are almost there, everyone!
we have RSVP'd to Sarge's Meet & Greet!!! Cannot believe graduation is 15 days away...so excited
Good Morning Everyone!
