Just wanted to thank everyone for all the great info. provided on this site. We had a great PIR weekend, couldn't have been better. My son was in div. 806 and is staying on in GL for pre-dive school. He was told he could not visit the Navy Lodge. He said something may have been said about a chit but nobody wanted to deal with that. Glad we listened to the advice here and stayed elsewhere. Thanks again and good luck to everyone.
You are so very welcome, Eve! So glad he is settled in!
Good Morning All !
Would like to hear from the families who stayed at Navy Lodge and have GL A School sailors. Were they allowed to visit you??? Trying to decipher what to tell the future PIR groups. Thanks!
Eve,
You're a loving Navy Momma and it's all good!! It won't be the last time that happens too.
So sweet to read all the appreciation~~ :)
Hello Everyone,
I know it's been a while since I posted however I was enjoying every second I could with my sailor. Thank you all diannep,CatMom609 all the administrators for guiding us through this process and making all the days leading up to and PIR a Glorious Day ! I couldn't have made it without you all and everyone else here on this site. I greatly appreciate it. My son is settled into his A school at GL and I can't wait to see him again the hardest part was saying goodbye. I think I embarrassed him something awful when the waterworks were flooding uncontrollably.
You're so welcome, Forever Mom!
What a blessing of an extra day with your Sailor!!
Here's the Pensacola group you should join. Lots of help from the N4M veteran Beachbunny and you will have help planning a trip there~~ :)
You are very welcome, FOREVER MOM! We love helping here!
Good Day!
"For we are God's masterpiece. He created
us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the
good things he planned for us long ago."
Ephesians 2:10
Just like to Thank you everyone especially the administrators that answered all my questions. Without this website I will be lost . The graduation and seeing my son after 9 weeks was Priceless memories, it was all worth it. Everything in PIR was unforgettable memories. My Sailor flew yesterday, they were the last batch to go. It gave us extra day to spend time with him. We were in the same game, they left an hour early so it was so easy for us. Now his in Pensacola and he said he loves it there, just like University campus and even bigger. Of coarse the weather is perfect. Hopefully we can visit him there if time permits.
THANK YOU AGAIN!!
Thanks for the updates, ladies! We depend on posts like these to keep our info for future groups current and accurate. Glad it worked out so well for both of you!
