I would go with mtnestr's post on that..."could be serious, but most likely not."
When I asked my son about it he couldn't remember what a hard card was. He graduated in 2011.
Oh dear! Is it small stuff or major stuff? Is it permanent? How does it affect her?
Thanks to your son and you mtnestr!
The Recruits "hard card" is a file where they keep track of the Recruits performance in BC, good and bad.
Dutchess, My son, who is home on leave, says its like a mark on your record. It could be serious, but most likely not. He got one for skipping steps instead of taking them one at a time. LOL!
I finally got letters today. One was for me and one was for the whole family. There is supposed to be about one or two more but not here yet. She said that she was the pillow petty officer. She volunteered for it, but wasn't sure if the RDC would give it to her because of her hard card record. What is that veterans? She is doing okay but that she wanted to tell her recruiter that it really sucks there. Sounds like my girl. She says all her shipmates are pretty cool.

I very happy for you Otter 1765, It is wonderful to know that he is pushing through this. I know as parents we have a tendency to worry, I know I do probably more than most lol. But what a great deal of relief when we receive a positive letter and we know they are well. Praise God
