Please forgive me for not remembering who said this...(one of the admin. moms, i think)...she wasn't sure if ANY of this PIR group would get mail before Christmas due to timing of training the Recruit Mail Petty Officers. I can't find where someone said that, so don't quote me......
I got a call on Saturday 6:30am California time - also ship 14 div 085 They had 2 mins and the DI was yelling the whole time behind them to hurry up. Said they were doing fine but were bit of a "bad new bears" division and were getting a lot of extra "I.T." - extra P.T. Also said that he's not received any of our mail yet. Maybe because of the extra PT ? Im not sure - he had to hang up right then.
Welcome, BCmom! Usually if they call for security clearance info, they are not allowed to leave a message, so you are probably right. Hope that he gets to call again soon!
Hi everyone, I'm new to the group:) My son is in SHIP 14 DIV 085. I think he tried to call on Saturday morning around 9 am but I missed it. It was from Waukegan, IL. I wasn't expecting a call until after Christmas. Now I keep my phone glued to my side:) I'm not sure if it might have been for security clearance (he is going to be in IT) or just a regular call. I've written a few letters to him (just got his address a few days ago). He wasn't supposed to leave for BC until February and then they gave him a week's notice that he was leaving Dec. 7th. So we are sad that he won't be home for Christmas....but looking forward to seeing him in Feb.
Just wondering, did anyone else get a phone call on Saturday?
I just spoke to my son a few minutes ago. I received his letter yesterday and he had to call today for more security info. He sounded really good and happy.
here is the FB PIR group:https://www.facebook.com/groups/373434896151688/
has anyone from ship 11 div 091 received their form letter yet?
Good Morning!
"Therefore God also has hightly exalted Him and
given Him the name which is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and
those under the earth..."
Philippians 2:9-11
My son is in Ship 3 Division 094 also...but I still haven't gotten my letter yet. Hopefully I will receive mine today. :)
