Agreed.  It was amazing.  So proud of all our Sailors.  Eli's at Nuke School and thankful for the warm weather there although it's raining.  Hope all our Nukes get to know each other.

The PIR was an awesome event!!  We will never forget it!  We are very proud of both my sailor and the other sailors that graduated ~~ they have all done an awesome job.  My son thoroughly enjoyed bootcamp and would do it again!!!  Thanks to the RDCs for their commitment and dedication too.  We ate steak and lobster at Flannigans  ~ it was delicious!  Toured the Naval Museum.  Did a little shopping for *certain items that were missed* at Gurnee Mall and then chilled out a little in the hotel room.  Our sailor has now arrived safely at A-school and waiting to start the Nuke Program.  Congratulations to all!!!

We have had an amazing time in Chicago. PIR was wonderful. 070 was the honors Div. My son looked great. He said boot camp suks. :) we went to the Silo for lunch and the entire meal for 5 of us was free. He was so proud. Spent sat am at airport. He is happy in Charleston now.

It was so wonderful!!!!!!!!! Got to spend all day with my SR and a friend whose family could not make it to graduation.  Absolutely delightful!  We did spend this morning at the airport, it was really nice to have a few more hours with her.  Pics soon!

Hoping that many are up and ready to head to RTC !  Enjoy this very very special day...a lifelong memory.

Remember...test out your cameras when you arrive...some have found that turning OFF the flash keeps the piks from being dark.  Also, many families/sailors have had a special surprise in the past when heading to the bathrooms pre-ceremony...and running into their sailors.  So, you never know!

Congrats to the new sailors of PIR 02/17/2012!  HOOYAH!

muldo:  Some of the divisions picked a color scarf to wear to identify their division.  The ribbons are PIR ribbons made by Lala that people ordered with division numbers/names on them.

Have fun tomorrow, everyone!  Hope you enjoyed the MeetNGreets!
