Also, airport visits are good because your sailor can get you a gate pass from the airlines (you are present with ID to get this) and you can wait at the gate for their plane to leave.
unc80: Depends on when they leave out on Sat. But they are bussed there in the wee hours of Saturday morning and flights usually don't start leaving until around 6 am and later, so if you go out there early, you should have time with your sailor. If they are held at RTC through the weekend, you should have daytime with them through the weekend. Same with GL A School students...watches may take a little of that time away though.
Good morning all!
There are several new members to the PIR group. Welcome one and all. Feel free to ask questions, share your joys and sorrows. (Not that I know any of the answers to your questions, but there are certainly some ladies on here who do.)
...I get to post it AGAIN! LOL
Oh Connie and Barbie! No letter still? Don't your mailmen understand sad moms have violent tendencies?
I will be at work tomorrow but if anyone would like to they can come poke my mailman in the eye if he does not bring me a letter from SR. (It's OK, I'll make him cookies to make up for it when he does bring the letter.-LOL
@unc80- I have been reading everything I could on it and it looks like most nukes flew out from O'hare on Sat. They had to be at airport very early in AM but were able to visit with family there until the flight. Not sure if this is always the case.
What if they are going to Nuke school in GC? Will we have any time with them on Saturday?
You should have them for the remainder of the day after PIR and you should be able to meet them at the airport on Saturday for extra time with them. Sometimes their flights aren't until Sunday and rarely Monday. I would try to stay until Sunday just in case they have a late flight on Saturday. You won't know their flight time until right after PIR. If A-school is in Great Lakes then you normally get most of the day Saturday and Sunday with them.
Hello everyone - does anyone know when we might know the details of our recruits weekend liberty for graduation weekend. More specifically how much time they will have before departing for A-school, so to align my travel schedule. Will we just have them for the hours following graduation or perhaps part of SAT as well? Thanks in advance for any advice.
