I heard from moms that just came back that had to move to new hotel cuz sailors could not get a chit.

Sadly, no.  An order from the A School Command.   But not sure why or who is affected.  The desires of the Navy!  I even emailed someone who works at A School, but never heard back.

The Navy Lodge is an excellent choice!  We just want to warn those with GL A School sailors about the possibility of their sailors not being able to visit there.  Not sure it happens every time and with every one, but it definitely has happened in the past, a lady posted on the PIR 12/12/2014 group that it happened to them!

Comment by hearthhaven on January 15, 2015 at 6:43pm

Diannep: I think we're going to try to stay at the Navy Lodge as well!

Squints; It's hard. Still waiting on my first call. The not knowing is the worst. Just wondering how he is.

Comment by diannep on January 15, 2015 at 3:42pm

Yes, Kathryn.  If in Div 917, that will be in the next PIR group, probably the first one in March.  But like the others said, stay here until you receive the form letter.  There is no group started quite yet for the next PIR date, but ellen will be starting it soon.  Once you get your form letter and it is confirmed, it is an easy switch to the other group!

Squints,

Thank you so much for your service while in the Marines!!

Comment by CatMom509 on January 15, 2015 at 3:38pm

Kathryn,

Just hang on here and learn while waiting for your Form letter as Squints suggested.  Easy enough to switch groups later~~

Squints- Yeah they are supposed to fill out a form for us and mail it home. We take the form and some other documents to a military base and have the ID made. I just don't know when the form will arrive. All the not knowing makes me antsy. Ha.
