For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Yeah she did it! Completed the mile swim in 58 minutes. Now we are on to Disney Week! At first I was annoyed that boys were betting on her not to make it, but now I see that fueled her fire, so now I'm thankful. I kind of do understand though, I know my son when he was there didn't class up for months and she did in just a couple of weeks. That must have been annoying to a lot of people.

How exciting! I know our Sailors may not have known each other but it is so fun to hear about them! Think I am going to put a world map on the wall in my Sailors room so I can see where everyone is! Hmmm wonder if I can get out of work early...
Thanks for the salt kills weeds tip! Hate using chemicals when something better can be used.

CatMom, I'm more excited than my sailor. I like Japan. I studied there for 9 months years ago. Clea.....n . She will be going to Misawa Air Force. She's a Yeoman. I don't know whether she's going there for training or what. She's graduating on 4/16 from A school in Mississippi. I wonder there will be any parents going to their graduation ceremony or not? I hope daughter will be there too. At least someone from the same batch..

Wow, first orders already? My daughter requested Hawaii or San Diego too. Japan sounds like a really nice place to visit. Love how clean and organized it is over there and their car culture. Also, they love Snoopy and so do I!! How exciting for your daughter. Where is she training and for what? Mine is at Pensacola and she just started her IT training yesterday afternoon.
