I know, I was sitting at the traffic signal today after getting some ingredients to make a healthy creamed spinach recipe that Daina made up and I realized that she wasn't going to come home for a long time and when she is home, it would be for 2 weeks (1 week RAP duty).  She and her sister would probably want to be out all the time at the beach.  It would be a tiny slice of the way things used to be, then she is off to her first command for 3 years (Hawaii or San Diego, we hope).  I have to remind myself that she chose this path and that God has repeatedly confirmed it in all kinds of ways.  Please pray for Daina's walk with the Lord to be strengthen and that she would be a light to others~~

Yes and Yes!  The day after PIR was rough.  Bittersweet seeing them and then seeing them off for months and years.  Now that I have met mommas in person their Sailors are part of the whole-no longer just a name but a Sailor who is giving me the gift of freedom because of their service!  Thank you mommas for letting them go!

Catmom...thank you for the Scripture. I'm having a rough day. I don't know what I was thinking or if I wasn't thinking. Boot camp isn't the end its the beginning. I feel so blessed to be able to talk and text my son now but he is still not sitting across the dinner table at night. I'm proud of him and ALL of our sailors. But I still miss him. I read the Scripture and apply it to my son and it helps to energize my faith that he is where he is supposed to be. :)

Yep!! I can see Daina clearly in several photos of division 109.  She is in front in the flag line, not holding a flag!!
