For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

When your sailors call tomorrow, I know they will be exhausted after all of this. They cannot "hit their racks" before 8 pm which is 2 hours earlier than normal. So...some of them may want to take a short nap after PIR in your hotel room before doing any other activities! Others may be ready for anything, just to see "the outside world!" They have been cooped up for a long time!

I kind of wondered if they would cancel BattleStations last night with that bad weather coming in. Yes, CatMom, it is inside, but remember...you have "staff" there who need to be able to get to their homes with the bad weather. They have cancelled in the past, but not often. Didn't even think about that though earlier today when I thought calls would come in....
So tomorrow should be nice up there...for when they make their phone calls! Another night of praying for your SRs and burning those blue candles!

Got to talk 40 minutes with her. She's ready. Prayers tonight for them!! They will be up all night from 8:30 pm - 7:30 am, then a 4 hour PIR practice tomorrow. No rest tonight before the test either~~

Can someone tell me whether visitors can stay on the base if they don't get to attend the ceremony? We have 8 people going but only allow 4. The rest of them would like to stay on base till the ceremony is over & all of us will go for lunch. I will be bring out some sailors for lunch who's parents can't make it to the graduation. Just do not want them to be left out. Wrote to my daughter to bring those that parents can't attend. She said she already got some sailors on hand. Hopefully, our flight in New York won't get cancel due to the storm.

Sailors won't get to call once they pass. They will only get to call if they don't pass & won't be graduating

My sailor just called confirming BS21 tonite before midnite all the way to Thursday. She's been chosen as honor student... Div. 110 push back 29 sailors. 50+ passed & will be doing BS21 tonite. Pray for all the 29s....

I just heard from my SR! 30 of the BEST minutes of my life!!!!
He said BS's were cancelled, and I'm hoping he's wrong about this part, but said they won't get to call tomorrow. I can't wait to get to Chicago!!!!!!

My SR just called and verified BS did not happen last night due to the snow. It will happen tonight!! She sounds really good!!
