~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

No, navymom.  Your info was fine and right on!  Hoping those working to pass the swim test or something else in their PFA get it done today so that they will be at PIR Friday.

For those traveling today, please be very careful.  I know there are flight delays but hoping all flying get in at some point today.  And for those driving....go slowly!  :-)

Not sure if calls today will be from 109-112 or just 109/110.  All 4 were scheduled together at first, but one person advised me that 111/112 were delayed a day--not sure if that happened or not.  Soooo....I would suggest all who have not received the I'm a Sailor call yet have phones handy today just in case!

Proudmom - my Sailor told me the same thing, he said there were 2 who did not pass the swim test so could not do bs.  They still have a chance today to pass the swim and then take bs tonight.  Lots of prayers.  Hopefully I did not just give out too much info,OPSEC and all.  I and my daughter are headed out the door to the airport so I won't be able to get on a computer for a while,  Congrats to all of you awesome moms for raising such fine, upstanding young men and women who have chosen to protect us and our great nation.  HOOYAH!!  See you Friday

All Moms and Dads,

Don't forget to re-activate your son's/daughter's cell phone tomorrow if you have it on military hold/suspend with your cell phone provider.  Also, make sure it is charged and bring the charger with you~~  :)  Can hardly wait to see my girl!!

WOOHOO! I got the sailor call. Happy Dance to all the new Sailors and their family. My son told me there is a young man in his division who hasn't passed the swimming test and may not graduate with them on Friday. Please everyone pray for this young man. Without saying his name...my son informed me he is from the South, father is a minister, and he oftentimes led the prayer groups. This young man would give encouraging words to the recruits. If his mother is on Navyformom and is reading this my heart and prayers go out to you and your son. He encouraged others and it meant a lot to them. God Bless all of you, who were expecting a 3/8/13 PIR date.

Also, I live in Chicago and it hasn't stopped snowing since this morning. It's unbelievable. The upside is Thursday and Friday forecast is sunny and in the 40's which means the roads will more than likely be clear.

I have truly enjoyed and appreciated all of you! My participation has been minimum due to my hectic schedule do know I have kept all of you in my prayers, as well as, your recruit..oops Sailor. God Bless You All.
