Well folks, still no posting of divisions for this PIR date from RTC. Another day to test our patience. Hang in there! We are all in this together!
Maria - my daughter left on 1/10/12 - I just got the form letter on Friday 1/20/12. So, it does take a while. Now, I just have to wait until the next letter, or until I am lucky enough to get a phone call.
I was the same way though. It drove me nuts waiting for that letter. I rushed home from work every day to check the mail. So, I got really excited when my husband called me Friday afternoon to tell me it arrived.
Maria...My son left on 1/17 and all I got was a box so far too. I've heard that the form letter comes 7-10 days after they arrive at BC. I was happy to get the box yesterday but yeah, now I'm chomping at the bit for the letter so we have a firm PIR date. My son's recruiter gave me his address. Did you check with the recruiter? Hang in there!
I don't believe so. They can last anywhere from a few days to 10 days depending on when an SR arrives there.
We made our reservations last night at the Qualtiy Inn on Green Bay Road. We stayed there two years ago. It is very close to GL and had a nice resturant across the parking lot....very good diner kind of food.....we ate there several times during the weekend. This hotel is not real fancy...some would say a little run down, but the rooms were very clean and comfortable, they have breakfast and the price is right...$59 a night for the graduation rate (AAA rate is $89!!). It is also across the street from White Castle.
ehuds. I think they are probably in TRAINING week #1 right now...that is a different count than BOOTCAMP weeks. Bootcamp is usually 8 weeks; training weeks are 6 weeks. They conclude actual training by the end of training week 6...and then PIR in training week 7. Training days are M-F, and are counted 1-5. Weekends and holidays do not count in the training day count. If they are 1-4 (week/day) on a Friday, then they will be 1-5 on Monday.
Good morning all.
I am trying to decide where to book a room for PIR. Are there any suggestions?
Every division has a "brother" division...they train together and will go through BS21 together (up to four Divisions can go a night). This TG will start with 081...so 081 and 082 will be brother Divisions and so on.
The exceptions are the 900 and 800 Divisions.
There is usually only one 900 division per TG. Then, they do not have a brother DIV. If there are two, then they will!
The number of 800 Div's varies...same theory though.
