I'm a Sailor calls could start coming in about 90 minutes from now...give or take. Sometimes they start much later. Phones GLUED to your bodies! We think that 3 divisions went through last night. Please be sure to ask your new sailor if all in that division passed, post it here. Some new sailors may have "watch" and not be able to call right away. Would help those ladies to know that they have sailors. Please be sure to check your sailor's FB page too...some will be on those before calling.
So glad the corpsman was able to comfort you by phone, blondi. What a gift! Please post when you hear from your son...hoping for better news!
harpistmom: I thought I had heard that Sarge's MeetNGreet is now over at 8 pm rather than 10 pm? Ramada's is from 6-8 pm. They are not too far apart.
Thank you Missy!
081 if your sailor is flying out to A school - they are calling with travel information. My daughter called a little bit ago.
will pray for you blondi.
Still trying to figure out how to maneuver this site. Update: They sailor I was texting with was an actual corpsman stationed at GL. He was at medical when my son was. He corresponded with me for half the day trying to reassure me. Awesome guy and grateful to him for his concern.
I am told that I will be getting a call from my son one way or the other today. Basically it boils down to his health I believe. My son had a cold when he left for BC and seemed to have been sick throughout his entire time there. I guess what put him at medical is the fact that he could barely hear anymore. Knowing my son, he did not let on that he was sick, suffered with an ear infection for as long as he could and most likely severe enough now to possibly burst his eardrum which he and my oldest daughter and myself have had happen because of infection. I am speculating of course, but the scenario is probably fairly close.
At any rate, I will get a call from him letting me know where he stands. This day is going to go by way too slow.
Hello everyone....was wondering if any of you arent making it to PIR on friday....i would like to include your sailor in our day out....please message me so i can talk to my son when he calls after battlestations
I plan to go to Sarge's MnG after the Ramada Inn. I will proudly wear my yellow scarf! I will also be wearing a harp necklace and earrings, for those of you who want to identify me at one of the events.
I plan on going to Sarge's. I will have my yellow scarf. :-) Anxiously awaiting for the phone call too!
aninms, I am staying at the Ramada and plan to attend both Meet n Greets. I may attend Ramada first since it is only 2 hours. Some of my "fellow" Div 083 moms said they would be there too. I am pumped up and waiting for the call today!!
We would like to attend a meet and greet if we get into town in time, which one does everyone attend? I saw a lot of responses for Sarge's, and not a lot for Ramada. Is it safe to say that most people will be attending Sarge's? Hoping for "the call" today :) 084!!
