Diannep u said it perfect I was told they haven't slept well in the last week, and I'm sure that hasn't changed!

HannahKathryn:  I wouldn't worry.  They truly have just about every minute of their day filled.  Some may miss letter writing time due to another responsibility; others may use it to study a bit, or just to sleep.  Just remember...no news is good news!

Comment by diannep on February 28, 2012 at 1:44pm

The total time they have to call/go on the computer/shop is up to their RDCs---like raeinaz said.  My son was allowed an hour phone call back in "his day" up there.  But only 2 divisions went the night he did...when there are more than 2 divisions the same night, calls may be a little shorter.  But it doesn't matter...their voices, stating that they are sailors, make the day wonderful!

Also, ladies...just a heads up.  If your sailor sounds tired, please know that is....because he/she IS!  They have been awake since early yesterday morning and can't hit the rack until 8 pm tonight (2 hours earlier than usual).  Most get energy drinks/candy bars to get some energy back and stay awake.  Just expect that they may be tired and don't worry about it.

AmyaodRN-When they finish BS and start making the "I am a sailor calls" they usually have some time "off " where they can have some internet time...if they pay for it...(my son was on his FB account right away)...getting to eat in what is called Ricky haven??, and doing some shopping in the NEX....as long as the RDC as allowed time for the DIV to do so, and most do...

Ladies, I can't send info from N4Moms site to personal emails (even though the Message to Group is supposed to go there).  Please check your pages...will post on there.

I just can't think that he wouldn't have written if he were allowed to the 19th. I don't know. I have always been a worrier. He knows that. I am one of those people who always assume the worst case possible. It's easier than getting your hopes up and then having them shot down. I just really want to hear from him. Like i said, the last thing he wrote in his last letter was "I love you!" so I can't think it was anything I have done, but who knows.

I saw they get that choice, but mine wouldn't do Facebook bc he knows mine nor his mom are on here too much lol the computer I mean. Lol

HannahKathryn - remember they are a "push" division. I have counted out the days, with the holiday last week, there aren't enough days for them to start BS21 when they are, sooo... I think this may be where the "push" comes in, and they are very busy, trying to get to the end and do BS21.

Comment by mandiekaye04 (ship 11/div 081) on February 28, 2012 at 1:17pm
Yea, well the fact none of our division is getting anything that means they are all busy and maybe aren't allowed to write or maybe they are doing some more training and who knows lol but I haven't gotten a call and if they would have gotten on I would have recieved one. Or if something was wrong....
