Stranger yet, it wasn't even him. He has no clue who it was and nor do I. I had texted him after it happened and he texted back this morning and said it wasn't him.

Hmmmm.....HannahKathryn.  That is strange.  Let us know if you hear from him again.

HannahKathryn - That is odd...no I don't. It came up PAY PHONE?

I am really confused right now. My boyfriend is on medical hold up at Great Lakes. I was just woken up by a call from a pay phone from there, but when i said hello they hung up. He has his cellphone now so if it was him why didn't he use that? I mean its like 3am here (eastern time). Any ideas?

AMEN, zStratMom!  So true...thanks for your wonderful help in the PIR groups!

Comment by zStratMom on March 10, 2012 at 1:17pm

Wasn’t PIR everything we told you and then some???? I hope you're having a fabulous time this weekend with your SAILOR!!!!!! Get all the extra hugs in you can. : )

When you get home, be sure to go join groups related to your Sailor’s A-school and later, to assignment or location based groups. Plenty of veterans in all these groups as you continue on in the Navy life journey. Keep in touch and pay-it-forward when you can! Many families can be blessed by the experiences you share.

I agree with Lala.  Since his flight is so late, you may be able to go out for a while...ask in the USO but they usually tell you to just be back 2-3 hours before flight departure.

Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on March 10, 2012 at 8:27am

jenny, Although it is not advisable I have heard of others who had to wait that long who actually left the airport with them and took them somewhere else to eat. As long as they are back 2 hours before their flight. I myself would probably be to scared to leave the airport, afraid I might not get back in time with traffic but I can be a worry wart lol. Maybe you could ask at the USO. I know I have heard there are some great restaurants at the airport as well. And the USO has comfy seats and is a great place to hang out, well, that is if you are at O'hare. I don't much about the other airports.

Hanging at the airport waiting for my sailor to arrive. We have a long day of waiting since she doesn't leave until 6:45pm. But we will take what we can get. Had a great time at graduation and Sarge's meet and greet.

Wow, today was amazing! I just cried when I seen my daughter! Wish I can take her home innmy pocket. Lol I'm happy with her choice and I'm looking toward to spending time with her before we fligh back to Cali. Btw Sarge has been Amazing!!!! He is the most dependable, genuine person. And I thank god he helps all of us Navy family's.
