Lala, thank you! I think that would be a great idea! I have been sending SASEs, more stamps, and more stationary (only a few sheets at a time). Sending the manilla envelope in the padded one would be easier than trying to fit it in with a card.

You are welcome Amy, Maybe you could go ahead and send them and send a folded up large envelope in the package and he can use it to send his letters that he wants to keep back home to you :-)

Lala - Thank you. He has disposable, so I was thinking of just sending 2 unopened sets, then he won't need the solution until I see him, and it will take up less space. I will wait another week or so to send them, he already told me he will probably have to start sending his letters back home, because with 62 he is running out of room in his draw. lol

You could go ahead and send them now and it should be fine. The best way to send them is in a padded envelope. Make sure the bottle of solution is no bigger than 3 oz. He won't have a lot of room plus that will also be small enough to take on the plane if he flies to A-school. Just mark on the outside of the package what it is and that it is for PIR. They will make him open it in front of them but then he will just have to put them away until needed.

When should I send my SR his contact lenses and how? Do I mail them in a padded envelope on 03/02, 1 week before? Mail is taking 4 days to get to him, don't want him to be without them.

Happy Valentine's Day to everyone! Special Valentine for me, MORE MAIL!! Yay!! He said he was confused because the RDCs were letting them write letters and it was Tuesday. lol

Oh no is it about the cerimonial guard thing? That does not sounds so good. I may need to do some digging to see what this is really all about. I will let you know what i find....

Usually after they get passed the 4th week they are given a little more time to write and some RDC's even let them mail letters twice a week instead of just once. It is good to get those unexpected letters for sure :-)
