N4M's Community Guidelines and OPSEC.

~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.

~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.

~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.

~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:

• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:

• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.

Some Suggestions:

~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.

~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option

~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

Morning Ladies! Thursday has just become my favorite day of the week since it appears to be our "mail from our SR" day :). So good to hear how well he is adjusting.

Navywife2012 what a fun surprise! Hopefully everyone will get to hear from their loved one this week by phone or mail.

Good morning everyone and Thanks so much :) That Copperhead was no match for our Poochie :) My Mom is also doing better after her fall. My Sailor and I are going to split the cost and get life alert for her. We were lucky she had the cordless phone in her pocket when she fell so she was able to call me for help. And my son was in her area just leaving another call (first responder) so he was able to get to her pretty quickly. She looks much worse than she feels because she is on coumadin and bruises so badly :( But she will be fine. It has been a crazy week.

Thanks so much imomxfour, Betsy and Kim I look forward to making your ribbons :) imomxfour I had another mom order the navy blue ones for the same reason. And another who ordered a polo shirt with her son's DIV and name on it and when her daughter who is already a Sailor saw a pic of it got very jealous because she didn't have one when she had PIR. So she had to order another one with her daughters DIV on it lol. Sibling rivalry is good for business I guess, so funny :)

And yes, there is still plenty of time to order :)

Kim thanks so much. I found out that my husband is in charge of all incoming and out going mail for all of ship 3-he said that's 15 div's of mail. He is Head ship mail petty officer. I am super proud of him. So no worries ladies our mail is in amazing hands. ((: Happy Friday. (:

My SR called me in the middle of the night and said one of the officers was really nice and took him to where ever the phones are because of good behavior. We only got to talk for 5 mins but it was nice!

Your SR won't get in trouble for the envelope, he may have to open it in front of an RDC but it won't be a problem. Make sure to let your SR know it is coming so it isn't a surprise if they single your SR out at mail call to open it.
