~OPSEC OPerational SECurity, is always of the utmost importance.
~N4M’s also has Community Guidelines just like any other social media.
~Please take the time to read the OPSEC and N4M’s Community Guidelines.
~A quick note here, from the N4M’s CG’s:
• Don’t Jeopardize the Safety of Our Sailors: Remember OPSEC (Operational Security) (Don’t Sink Ships With Loose Lips) This site and all content posted on it are viewable to everyone on the Internet. This doesn’t mean you can’t share things about your Sailor – but too many details can put Sailors in harm’s way. The following are examples of red flags and should not be shared within this community either by posting or sending via a Group message:
• Sailors’ last names. This includes your username if you share the same last name as your son or daughter.
Some Suggestions:
~If your last name is different from your Recruits it is still not recommended for you to use in your username for your own personal security. This is your option. It is also not a good idea to use an email address as your username for personal security reasons.
~First Names and pictures of your Recruit are allowed but remember, everyone can see it and someone can easily match them up with their "mom". So you might want to consider changing your profile picture to not include your Recruit at least for the duration of BC. Again, your option
~It is also a good idea to make your settings for your Profile Page "viewable only to your friends".

KimS, You might tell your SR that you are on this site and ask him/her to let his/her buddies know their loved ones should join too. :)
Every day gone by is another day closer to graduation! :D I hope everyone is staying strong and in high hopes :) Our SRs are working hard out there so lets take a moment to send prayers encouragement, strength, and protection. 43 days left! :D

Thank you

Hi again--I have a question about SR's not getting letters, I will ask my son about those to write to but is there another way we can send letters, such as attention their commander for distribution? I have friends who teach at the local schools and they would probably have students send letters as a class project...one of the friends father is a retired chief warrent officer so she knows navy very well ....
How do we get more Mom's to visit this site? I happen to find a towel when I was cleaning my son's room that had the site printed on it, LOL. I was so desperate for information that I investigated it.
Good morning from Missouri! So glad I found this site--so far there are three parents on here from 243-244 that I've seen--finding them was a relief--for some reason until then I felt my SR was alone and I know he isn't...I think recruiting staff should promote it--lots of good infor for before SR's leave I would have loved to have known
Ladies, sadly, the number of people on here representing the SRs in their PIR group is only about 10-15 percent of the actual number of SRs there. So many don't know about this site or opt not to join. So glad that you all found us, but that is the reason for so few in a division on this PIR page...aren't you glad you found this site??? :-)
Good Morning!
Never hear from anyone else who has a SR with Div 237 other than KimS and myself. Beginning to think they are the only 2! LOL
Welcome, Nautigator!
