So happy for you Jess..give her time to adjust. We, moms grow and love our babies and we see a young man 'Prince Charming' come along with his charm working his magic and then whisking our princess' off before we even realize that they have become beautiful young ladies ready to leave and begin their own fairytale life just like we did....and then life throws some hard punches - Until you've experienced then, you can not fully comprehend the weight of what mom 'said'.... But we all have to live and grow, stumble and fall, but what is most important: when we do stumble and fall, that we get up, brush off, and move on...and that is best done with geniun loving support from family and friends...that really care....We invest some much love andl care and we just NEED to know that our baby girls, our little princess' will be okay...Though maybe it should't be as painful as it is at times, it is painful....and under the 'right' circumstances, we think things will be okay (whatever that might be in each mom & dads estimation)...we have to 'let go'. Jess, your mom had an obvious expectation of 'how' life was suppose to turn out for you...or what diretion, just like I have for my children...some are realistic and maybe some not so realistic at time....You will live life, you will stumble and fall, but remember your heritage and pick yourself up, brush off and move on ---

Hey all, it was actually pretty nice. We went out to PF Changs, walked around michigan avenue and did a little shopping (yay new gym shoes)! She only almost cried once. We are making progress. She just keeps asking if I'm gonna be okay. She likes to talk about the big "D" a lot... I dont even think about it, we have about two years until he is going anywhere. Overall though, it was good. (:

Hahahah.....couldn't stay away....just finished dinner with Matthew & Bethany and wanted to check in real quick....

Feemine name for Matthew, how about Madison...Maddy for short...nah...though they have tossed Madison around...

Awe, Jess....I sure hope you had a wonderful time. I'm really cheer you and your mom's relationship on...

Well, since I actually only can claim to two Matthews currently, it's nice to dream..Its a great name :)...

I don't know how my mom would have acted if I would have...I think she wouldn't have said anything...not because she wouldn't have cared, but because that was the way my mom was....

Honestly guys...and I'm certainly not advocating getting pregnant...but if you would have asked Bethany...she thought the same thing..., but all I could do was hug her and love her and tell her that I would be there for her.....

I think the agony of having to tell us was 'punishment' enough...for lack of a better term......

who knows where we will all be in a year from now, but I promise that I will post pictures of the baby for you all...and I will certainly be posting wedding pictures next month!

She's actually hoping for another Matthew!!!  I think he could be a Junior.  What's the feminine version of Matthew?  just in case

Have a good weekend!

Jess, I hope you have a good dinner with Mom.

Steph, my parents would definitely have had a cow, too.  I'm praying you get that job.

For awhile. My parents divorced when I was... I think five? So for a bit I did. I think it is because church was just shoved on me so hard and constantly I grew to not really enjoy it. Plus, that pastors kid stigma isnt much fun.. when I do go to church now I go to where I went to school, and my friends and old teachers are, not my moms work. I know that bothers her though. But there I am just another person, not the pastors kid so I like it better.
