Maria- Thanks for the support. The letter was similar to being the angry letter. Only in the sense that i wrote it to be therapeutic and have the intention when i wrote it to rip it up and throw it away like if i had from an angry letter. But it wasnt at all angry. It was just very emotional. No unlady like language used. Well maybe one word. But now that im thinking about it, i dont think i cursed at all in it. Im glad that i sent it. Because as you said, it will provoke a response. Im anxious to see what he has to say after reading it. I will get ahold of you on fb.
Coach- nice to hear from you!! How is your son doing??
Hey all. So i have a confession to make. And i know some of you moms may not agree with what i am about to tell you i did.
I finally couldnt take it anymore. All my emotions and everything. I wrote kyle a letter tuesday night and sent it out thursday in the mail. He knows its coming but because if the holiday he wont get it until either tuesday or wednesday. Its not a bad letter. You know when you get really angry with someone, they tell you to write an angry letter to the person. tell them everything your feeling, even "yell" and curse in the letter. Just get everything out. And then you are supposed to tear it up and throw it away. Well i wrote one of those types of letters, but rather than an angry letter, it was just an emotional letter. I was debating on if i should send it or not and i talked to jessica about it. She just said i should send it cuz ive got nothing to lose. So wednesday night, i put it in the mail. Well i made an electronic copy of it and saved it privately on fb so no one can see it but me and those who i choose to show it to. I talked to kyle for about 45 minutes on a skype call thursday night and told him it was coming and told him i had made the electronic copy. He asked me if i would make it available for him to see, so i did. And he read it right away. After he read it he messaged me saying that it wasnt quite what he expected, but he also didnt really know what he expected. He said that it was ironic in a sense, because had our roles been reversed that he would have wrote/said the same things. He said that he wanted to think about it for a few days and then he would get back to me.
The skype call was bittersweet and a bit awkward. There were a couple of different times during the call that he said he could see the pain on my face and he kept getting overwhelming urges to comfort me and hold me. And he was aggravated because he couldnt. There was also a couple times that he couldnt look at me. I think it was because his eyes were watering because each time he looked away, he tried being slick and wiping his eyes. But i saw him do it each time. His actions and body language and many of the things he said during the call made me think that he is regretting and rethinking his decision that he made a month ago.
I know you guys have all told me that i need to focus on me, but i think that this was the right decision to make. If after seeing me in that raw state and reading my emotions in the letter, he still feels that he made the right decision, then i will accept it. I think that it will make it easier to put this all behind me knowing that i fought for him and did everything i could do. So now i am just waiting in suspense until he takes his time to think about it all. Im really curious and anxious to see what he has to say. I will let you all know when i hear from him. Hope you all are having a great weekend.
Thanks Jessica.
Maria, I'm glad to hear your daughter is doing well. I hope you all have a wonderful visit in October.
Maria!!! Great to hear from you. How's your daughter doing??? Where is she & what is she doing? Is she happy in the Navy? My son is in A School in Pensacola and is doing great (according to him). He really likes what he's doing and will finish A School towards the end of October. Don't know where he goes from there, but he put Japan at the top of his wish list.
Y'all have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!
