Or, we could wear them like sandwich boards (am I dating myself with that term?)

Find a good spot to hang it up and then lurk nearby to see who shows up.

To find the PIR information look to the column on the right of this page -------->

There is a separator for Events with a calendar beneath it.  Under that are listings, right now "A Blue Candle Event" is the first listed.  Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "View All".  Keep going through the pages until you find the link for "MEET AND GREET FOR PIR 7/1/2011"  - It is not easy to find but it IS there.  The link I have posted previously takes you to the same place as the link under Events.  Division 933 will make a poster where our Division folks can gather and meet - other divisions might want to do that too.

I think we need to make a special request to Ramada that they provide a stage, podium and microphone with loud speaker - perhaps some spot lights too...  Theater style seating would be nice.  Oh, and an open bar for the evening...  RDC's attending?  Great, we'll put them to work!  Maybe they can do a demo of proper PT form to music?

well he was referring to the "amen" as his solo I think.... haha.  We kinda figured he'd get annoyed with people not keeping their mouths shut.  BUT it's all part of it, being part of the team.  And he's gotta learn to kinda deal with it, because it's really just the beginning.  Oh and he said they all got ribbons for their uniforms, for joining during wartime.

Got another letter today.  Hubby is sick, and I think getting tired of some of the youngsters in the division.  I finally found out why I didn't get a call, he did have watch.  He was told by chief that he would get to make it up but that he couldn't ask about it.  Oh... and he said he has a solo in the performances that they will be doing.  He said he gets to sing "Amen" at the end of the song all by himself! hahaha, Anyway, over all he's still doing well, but definitely looking forward to being out of bootcamp.  He also said he was told he would probably fly out on saturday but until they get tickets anything is possible.

Dianne have you ever heard of Tailhook? We will not be doing video. Everyone will sign a non-disclosure form! One thing I have learned while in the Navy no video, no evidence.
Comment by ConnieC on June 8, 2011 at 1:56pm
Yes, they come in a pack of 3 for 30.00. I will post the link from my PC. I ordered the inserts mainly for when I work out. I also order two cooling hats, one from the same company and one from another company. I have a cooling vest that VA gave me but it is bulky and doesn't work with my exercise class or to wear to PIR!

I wonder if my SR will mind if I fly up for the MeetNGreet and not brave the heat for PIR?  Then again, if there is to be clothing removed, maybe it's better for all of you if I'm not there ;-)

How does everyone else find out about the meet and greet? do the hotels advertise it or something?
Comment by diannep on June 8, 2011 at 12:45pm

Ahhhhh!  Of course....how silly of me to not realize that katiesmoms would be doing a "burlesque" comedy routine....ok, I think you all may be having some RDCs drop into your MeetNGreet after reading this board!  So make it worth their while!  :-)

On a more serious note....ahemmmm.....Stephanie....please just show up at the MeetNGreet if you can.  I know you will enjoy meeting everyone there.  Bring your sailor's parents if they would like to come...the Ramada prepares for many since not only are N4Moms attending, but also families who are not on this site.  Many do not KNOW about the site, so please be sure to direct them to it.  Some past PIR groups even made up little N4Moms business cards with the website on there to pass out.
