Yea he said the same thing. There is also a chance that when they get to goose creek they will be on holiday liberty since its the 4th of july and wont actually start classes until the 5th. Mine wants me to come there for that weekend if they are. Thats gonna be alot of driving if i do. We are leaving chicago around 10am sunday morning after we take his gramma to the airport and then its a 20hr drive back to FL where his arents live. and from FL to goose creek is about 8 hrs. if i do it ill be able to get there monday late morning prolly. and then monday night drive the 4 hrs home to GA

yep, i feel kinda bad thou. Im leaving his parents and gramma stranded at the hotel while im at the airport cuz we are all driving up in my car. they dont think they will go sit at the airport all day. they wanna go back to RTC for the 4th of july celebrations. so they will have to take a cab or something. i was already planning on going to the airport and when he was able to call me last week, he asked me to make sure i was gonna be there cuz he wanted to spend as much time as possible with me.

If they arent staying at GL for A-school, then they all go to the airport the next morning between 1-2am. Im definatly gonna be there. And like you Jess, i hope the flight isnt until later that day. My boyfriend is also a nuke and is going to Goose Creek. I only live 4 hrs south in GA so i will be up there as often as i possibly can be. Im still waiting to hear from him if he picked subs or surface and if he picked EM, ET or MM. But i do know that he wanted either ET or EM

Oh I am definitely going to the airport. I wouldn't miss the time for the world.
Comment by Paula (was Capricorna) on June 7, 2011 at 6:07pm
I would wait until they have tickets in hand rather than counting on whatever the RDCs say (not that I'm implying anything...[smile]).  If my SR has to be at O'Hare or Midway in the middle of the night - I'll be there - it's worth it.

Yep, I heard 2am but It will be sometime early morning for sure. With any luck the flight does not leave until later that day. I'm just happy for any time I get(:

I need to catch up.  Hope to do that later.

Jessica -- My son's also a Nuke.  His dad got his letter yesterday.  I will get a peak tomorrow night.  I know my son didn't want subs so probably isn't the same track, but said in his letter he'd be leaving for Goose Creek at 1 am Saturday.

I would be willing to write to the SR who doesn't get mail.  Sign me up.

Also, here's a link to the N4M Group who write to Sailors who need mail:

I got letters!!!! Good news, DIV 932 can now write on Tuesdays AND Thursdays(: Ladies be expecting more mail. My boyfriend finally isn't sick anymore, yay! They learned about A school this week, also the division had IT for 2 hours. They also switched up running buddies and are overall doing better. They apparently went over the benefits of marriage as well, that or this man just had some sort of epiphany haha. Anyway, I'm pretty happy. The nukes can have visits 4 weeks after A school starts yay!! OH, and I now know that some of you have mentioned my prom pics in your letters haha, Grant says he is flattered XD I'm happy I got to hear from him, the rest of your letters must be on the way!!

ALSO, I have the name of an SR that does not get much mail, please let me know if you would be willing to send out a letter to him and I will message you the name!
