Katiesmom....since I have been such a good sport about you being...aka
"JAYSON'S mom". I think you should let me ride in your big black limo!!! I can act important! lol. I love to talk a good talk!!!! lol You "all in?" lol

Lala, I would take you with me but I've got to say that you might be a bit uncomfortable since my hubs is coming with. I won't go into details but let's just say that we have to go away to get ultimate privacy. My brother in law lives with us and he has the best hearing. He is 62, he came to live with us 3 yrs ago from Ca.

RTC posted that we will be using the same gate and then directed to the destination. Information is only available to the secret squirrels. I'm thinking that Katiesmom is one because of all her alias'. Whatcha all think? Katiesmom could you have one of your drivers swing by the Navy Lodge and pick me and my honey bunny up? Incase you didn't know...... We are somebody! Lol thing stinks stink'n site. Now I must go and get a mani/pedi before heading to Myrtle Beach this weekend.

Yeah, I knew it was the celebration, That is why I am adding some extra stuff to the ribbons for this group but I thought I had read that is on the same base just in a different part of the base. maybe I have missed some posts but it seems there is not a lot of info about the changes for this PIR. Maybe it is a secret :-)

...should add, Lala, it is because it is the Navy's 100th anniversary celebration so they have moved it elsewhere.  So we veterans have absolutely no info to share for PIR day!

Lala:  This PIR group's PIR is not at RTC.  So different from what you and I went through.

See?  Told you katiesmom (and her BIG feet :-)) would figure it out!  Her limo can follow Obama's in....
Comment by Lala Ribbon Queen PIR Ribbons on June 3, 2011 at 9:31am

I thought the same thing Connie lol.

As for driving to the base I would just drive and park. We did and it was not bad at all. If I had to do it over again I would still drive to the base. I think you may even walk a little less when you drive than if you take the shuttle. Just remember when you get in line the morning before PIR avoid the far right lane. It ends and you will have to merge to the left so, you will save yourself a lot of wait time and get on the base much sooner. It is always a good idea to check out the route the day or evening before PIR if you can do that.
