I have a new interest in checking our mail.  My husband always did it when he'd get home from work & I was never interested.  Now that our son is at BC and his two letters have arrived on a Thursday.  I can't wait to get home from work and check that mailbox.  I get so excited when I see his writing peaking out from the pile of mail!  I'm hoping the Monday holiday didn't push out getting a Thursday letter.  Will see what tomorrow brings.

Katie's mom - Thanks for the great details.  We got to talk to our son Sunday night.  There were 3 of us who shared in that one call.  Our son also had 2 wisdom teeth pulled and missed his call home due to being in sick bay.  He's doing well and so good to hear his voice.  Said he should get to call again in about two weeks.  I'm a big detail, ask a lot of questions mom so I appreciate all you shared from your phone call.  Now looking forward to mail later in the week.  So much better now that we can hear from our SR from time to time.

katiesmom:  Wow....sounds like she is doing great!

Yes, the 215 and 216 men would train together also. Brother divisions.  They will also go through BattleStations together.

Her division will "pick up" some more SRs most likely.  These will be ones asmoed earlier from other PIR groups who are now ready to resume training. They will come into her division at the same point of training that they left their previous division.

You see now why we say to scan pictures on paper to send up there...preferably collage-style to get more in.

My son also said the food was really good when he was there.  He was my son who ate everything (other one is more picky) so he wasn't hard to please.

Ok, as I was reading through this, I thought:  How did she remember all of this?  See, at my age, I can hardly remember my NAME, let alone all of this!  So glad to see that you took notes...and very thorough ones at that!  You have helped out alot of ladies today!  I say:  A+!

Blu:  Could not agree with you more!  We never know what God has in HIS plans...we always want things our way....how we want and when we want it.  There is always a reason, I believe, that things happen. She may not know right away but somewhere down the road she will look back and say, "So...that's the reason."  Much love sent your way!

katiesmom:  You did a GREAT job on "details"....I love details.  When I start to get details from my hubby and my son they have finally put me on a 3 question limit!  lol  NOW...I have learned (don't ask me how) to get all of my answers within those 3 questions.  lol  My son called too...but he called the fiance first and she got most of the details!  I was SO happy to hear his voice.  He got 2 wisdom teeth pulled and one cut out last week, also!  Said he is doing good, though.

have a beer for me Carol!  That was the best!  I'm so glad she's doing well and likes it!  wish I could get that much detail outta my girl... sheesh, when she was home couldn't get her to be quiet!  haha!  It seems like the dental guys/gals get a real workout, my daughter had fillings done a couple weeks in.  She wasn't as crazy about the food, but she did say it seemed really "healthy".  She's kind of a food snob, though - went to culinary training in HS and has worked as a line cook for the last two years at a gastro-pub and couple other places.  Too funny about the shots - mine complained about that too!!

213/214 have the same kind of split and rivalry it sounded like - pretty interesting, the RDC's must initiate a lot of that to motivate and get the best out of them.

Great post - thanks!

K - I gotta go have God time, got lots to talk to him about!! haha!  Take care everyone!
