Blu:  I know that Lala always tells the ladies to have their injured/sick SR sign something there that allows YOU as the parent to be involved in her diagnosis and the choice of medical treatment, so hopefully you can tell her to do this when you speak to her.

Otherwise, they can tell you nothing.  Only your daughter can.

Blu:  Wow....I know your heart is broken....and of course, your daughter's.  I like what mominva said....sometimes what we think is a disappiontment can turn into a gift.  Another lady on another PIR page said:  Sometimes it takes "tomorrow" to understand "today."   We don't understand....at all....but we have hope and trust in the future.

Would it be ok if some of us write to you daughter?  When you get her new address?  I would love to.  I just wrote this morning to two SRs in another PIR group...also asmoed with injuries.  Please post if you think this would be a help to your daughter and then we can PM you for her address info.  It can get depressing in RCU so lots of letters are a must...from anyone and everyone she was/is close to.  Teachers, coaches, church friends, family friends, etc....to keep her encouraged and motivated during this "temporary" setback.

Just let us know if we can write to her.  Prayers....hang in there...I hope you stay on this group as long as you like because we would miss you if you left!

Oh Blu, I'll be thinking about you and your daughter. That has always been my worst fear. Hope she has a speedy recovery.

Craig, you've been so informative, I always value and appreciate your advice!!

I am scared, but all you guys here are so sweet - I knew I could find a bunch of shoulders to cry on that understand.  None of my friends, family, and only one co-worker really get it, so it's been a really rough day.  God bless you all and thanks again.  I'll be lurking and keep you posted!

Blu - you and your daughter are in my prayers.  This (still) could happen to any of our SR's.  It's out of our hands.  We're here to support and stand by you and your daughter.

Craig - thank you for the quick and important information you provided.

My below post wasn't met to scare you.  It was meant to inform you.  To me, I'd rather know the rules going into the game, without sugarcoating anything.  Being informed allows you to fight the battle if the time should ever come...

Cool?
