Mom... we are driving from Texas over a 2 day trip.  Planning on doing the brunt of the trip the 1st day (staying in Effingham) then driving the last few hrs. the day before PIR,,,, just so we can get rested up and ready for the BIG DAY!  The 4:30am gate opening will be coming REAL early... I'm already planning a coffee IV for that morning!!

Wish I could make the meet and greet, sounds like great fun. Unfortunately we don't get in to Chicago until like 9pm. So we will miss it all. I'll be there for PIR on 7/1/11 with bells on though. See you there!

Ok, never mind  Some people set up the MeetNGreet on the calendar where you can RSVP, but it doesn't matter.  The Ramada guesstimates how many will attend, so no need to really RSVP.  Just show up!  All ages are included!

I think we just show up. that was my plan anyway haha. Now I'm wondering if we have to rsvp!

Ok,, perhaps I'm showing my 'blonde roots' under the red hair.. but I don't see an RSVP feature for the June 30th meet n greet.. or do we call the hotel and RSVP?

Ok, katiesmom:  I have that song in my head now....

The MeetNGreet is on the calendar on the right.  Just click on Thurs, June 30th, and it comes up.  You all can RSVP there just to have an approximate number of how many will attend from this group.  It is open to all attending PIR the next day, not just N4Moms.

Ok, I got the answer from RTC... here it is:

U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command Though the gates will open at 4:30 a.m., guests have until 7:45 a.m. to get onto the base which gives the hotels plenty of time to shuttle their guests. We cannot possibly notify the untold number of hotels in the radius of the base regarding the earlier gate time. Plus, it would be unfair to the hotels we did not contact because we do not have an accurate or complete list of area hotels.

Angie, I get it.  You still HELP our Sailors and that's all that's important.

Please come visit us with your hubby and whoever else is important.  I'll buy you and yours a drink :->  You are here teaching us and for that alone I am grateful.

Party!
