Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Comment by mominva on May 30, 2011 at 5:08pm: Hi everyone! I got my call! I am sooooo excited, he sounds wonderful. I mean really happy!! I couldn't believe it. It's like he has grown up soooo much in 3 weeks. I am so surprised, yet so very proud of him. He said a couple of kids have been sent home but he is doing really well, really likes the others in his divisions and is doing really well. Wow, I will sleep tonight. So happy:)

My son is engaged and his fiance is going with us to PIR. However...we love her like a daughter. I plan on giving them some space....you think 15 minutes is long enough!?!? LOL. j/k. Best of luck!

And no, it is not too late to order them and have them in plenty of time for PIR. They are a great way to show your pride for your Sailor, make it easy to recognize other N4M members, and they make a great keepsake and can even be put into a scrapbook or frame if you remove the pin from the back.
